A Comunidade Intermunicipal (CIM) Viseu Dão Lafões anunciou hoje a ativação total da infraestrutura de monitorização no seu território. Este sistema surge na sequência de um investimento global de 3,7 milhões de euros, lançado em parceria com a CIM da Região de Coimbra, que vem garantir a cobertura útil de 85% do território afeto à CIM Viseu Dão Lafões, reforçando, decisivamente, a capacidade de deteção de incêndios numa fase crítica e, consequentemente, uma mais rápida ativação dos meios de combate, bem como uma melhor definição das estratégias de combate e apoio à decisão.
Recorde-se que o Sistema Integrado de Videovigilância para a Prevenção de Incêndios Florestais contemplou a instalação de 17 TAR (Torres de Acompanhamento Remoto) em Viseu Dão Lafões, que funcionam 24 horas por dia e 365 dias por ano. O sistema contempla ainda dois Centros de Gestão e Controlo na região, estando um localizado no Comando Distrital de Operações e Socorro (CDOS) de Viseu e o outro no Comando Territorial da GNR de Viseu. Os mesmos são complementados por 16 Centros de Monitorização Remota: 14 nos municípios que integram a CIM; um no edifício sede da CIM Viseu Dão Lafões; e outro no veículo de comando e comunicações (VCOC) afeto ao CDOS de Viseu.
Assim, a partir do dia de hoje, estão ativas no território Viseu Dão Lafões todas as 17 TAR, que são complementadas ainda com uma rede de comunicações dedicada, via rádio, com soluções de redundância, garantindo a interoperabilidade com os Sistemas de Acompanhamento e Apoio à Decisão já instalados e em operação em outras regiões. Este projeto é financiado pelo Programa Operacional de Sustentabilidade e Uso dos Recursos (POSEUR), Fundo de Coesão e Portugal 2020.
“Este projeto, que agora damos por concluído, irá contribuir, já neste período crítico, para a melhor deteção precoce de incêndios florestais, contribuindo para definição das estratégias de combate e apoio à decisão, sendo uma mais-valia para a proteção das populações e um investimento com um impacto direto na economia ligada à fileira florestal”, afirma o Presidente da CIM Viseu Dão Lafões, Fernando Ruas.
“Esta iniciativa, dedicada à proteção da floresta e defesa das populações, surge como complemento a outros projetos que a CIM Viseu Dão Lafões tem desenvolvido no âmbito da proteção civil intermunicipal, como sejam a Plataforma de Emergência e Proteção Civil Intermunicipal, a criação do Gabinete Técnico Florestal Intermunicipal e das Brigadas de Sapadores Florestais, assim como, recentemente, a capacitação de Técnicos de Fogo Controlado e Operacionais de Queima”, concluiu Fernando Ruas.
